What is An Experience Lab?

An Experience Lab is the Form of Flow.   

Crafting for my own students and attending others classes and workshops crafted for me, the Experience Lab is the template inherited from our teachers and refined over decades.

As a template, the Experience Lab serves as a regulatory tool, enabling professions which have typically involved "reinventing the wheel" to maintain a consistent standard and cohesive approach.  

​

The Experience Lab is purposely designed to be used in spaces which seek to be activated, by attracting skilled facilitators and providing access to a broader segment of the local demographic.  Because it is "instuction-less" the Experience Lab is accessible to all-neuro, all-ages and all-abilities. 

 

Based on Mysore Style Yoga, participants learn to enage and sustain their own practice held by dedicated guidelines, an Experience Lab is the minimal form for the optimal flow.

Refined over decades of observation and experience, through movement, healing and creative arts disciplines, an Experience Lab is the carefully designed process of psycho-physiological discovery for the restoration of finely-tuned balance.​​

The Form

Anchoring (20min)

Using the breath as our central focus, anchoring is the combination of grounding, centring and aligning which forms the foundation of the practice. 

Pendulation (20min)

Exploring the spectrum between end-points such as inhale-exhale, contraction-relaxation, opening-closing we discovery boundaries and the ability to regulate in-between.

Simulation (20min)

Boundaries were meant to be stretched, and Simulation, (sometimes called Stimulation) is exactly that. 

With particular attention to neuro-muscular activation, we grow our "windows of tolerance" and lean in to safe but challenging risk. Simulation is about finding and growing comfortable living "on your edge".

Integration (20min)

Here we "drop onto a page" images or words which build understanding of our internal experiences.  Sharing our internal change is a form of reparenting.  Being seen and received for what holds personal growth and meaning. 

Relaxation (10min)

Here we "Down tools" and let the inherent mechanism of homeostasis restore balance at the deepest level.  Having been received for what holds meaning, in this segment we open to receiving.
